Presidents Message

President's Message

It’s been a pleasure serving the members of WBN as president for the past two and a half years. During this time we increased our membership, upgraded our website, revived some member-focused traditions, and have had many successful events. Although my term is supposed to finish in December, for personal reasons, I’ve decided to hand over the reins to my vice president, Debbie Bennett. I’m sure you will continue to give her the support you gave me.
Thanks, Debbie!

Upcoming Changes in 2020

During your tenure as president Jean, we have seen enormous growth in our Women’s Business Network Organization. You have been integral to the important advances we have made, particularly in the areas of membership, new website, and events through the years. It is your behind-the-scenes work that we are thankful for and especially your leadership. You will truly be missed on the Board.

Additionally, The Pandemic. We certainly couldn’t have predicted the devastation that it has brought to all aspects of our lives. While we have tried our very best over the last few months to maintain bringing you personal and professional support through our monthly meeting and happy hours, it has been very difficult, so we have decided to cancel all upcoming events and meetings through the end of 2020, including our much-anticipated, Steps to Success. We understand that it is a different environment, and we feel that our organization functions at its best in person. While we will not be having our monthly events, we WILL be bringing fun, informative, supportive, encouraging, and engaging ways to continue to network and grow with your fellow members on our main Facebook page and Member Forum Page. In these struggling times, we ask that our members and followers continue to support the WBN by engaging with our social media posts and sharing with your networks. Our board will be working hard behind the scenes continuing to plan our upcoming 2021 calendar and keeping up with the governor’s announcements regarding reopening. We will continue to keep you updated through our monthly email newsletters. Stay safe, stay productive, and stay positive – WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS!

Debbie
