Jackie is a licensed travel advisor who specializes in European vacation experiences; including guided tours, independent travel, and cruises (river and sea). Having spent a college semester in Italy, she developed a great love for the country and continues to visit often as well as send hundreds of happy people there each year.

Designing custom itineraries for her guests is a true passion for Jackie. Her firm, Circa Travel, takes the guesswork out of planning a trip and pays great attention to the little details that so often go overlooked.

In addition to being the current President of WBN Frederick, Jackie is also the Area Director for BNI (Business Network International) for Frederick and Hagerstown and has been a part of that wonderful organization for over 20 years.

Jean has been working in sales and marketing positions for most of her career. She graduated with a BA degree in Communication Arts from Marywood College in Scranton, PA. Since moving to Frederick in 1993, Jean has worked as development director for a private school; sold memberships to local businesses for the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce; was employed as a local general manager for a global company; and is currently an account executive at Frederick Magazine. Jean is also a Leadership Frederick Class of 2013 graduate, and a member of the marketing committee of The Community Foundation of Frederick County. Jean is a member of the Frederick Professionals Community. She enjoys participating in a local wine club with her husband Tom, and is a contributing member of The Spring Ridge Friends and Neighbors Club, which she founded 21 years ago. Jean and Tom have two children, Carolyn, who is a University of Delaware graduate, and Matt, who attends American University.

Laura created Hummingbird Wealth Management as a practice for clients and advisors that are seeking a firm that genuinely cares about them. Karen has been on the board of WBN for a number of years, serving in the positions of Secretary/Treasurer, President, and Past President. She attributes most of her current friends, business associates, and wonderful network of women to her involvement in WBN, and encourages everyone to become involved in some way, whether by running for an upcoming board position or participating in one of our committees.

Karen loves to talk with business owners on the importance of understanding their business finances. After her business partner husband died unexpectedly at the age of 49, she has also become very passionate about helping women organize and make sense out of the important documents that are critical during an unexpected Life Event.

Karen has lived in Frederick County for most of her life, and loves the area and everything that Frederick has to offer. She is a certified Life Coach, a member of the 2014 class of the Chamber’s Leadership Frederick County program, and is involved in Wholistic Woman Retreats. She and her husband live in the Catoctin Mountains, and love to camp and travel, especially to the country’s beautiful National Parks. She has three adult daughters, two adult step children and 7 grandchildren.

Debbie Bennett, a resident of Walkersville, has been a member of the Women’s Business Network for six years. She has been on the board of directors for four years and will be serving as Programs Director in 2017. Debbie has been married for 35 years to Jeff Bennett, a retired Montgomery County Firefighter and currently working for Loudoun County Fire & Rescue. The couple have two children; a daughter, Dr. Carissa Smith and a son, Justin. Carissa is a Doctor of Pharmacy and is currently working as a Pharmacy Manager for CVS. Justin is currently attending Frostburg State University as a senior and will graduate in May, 2017, with a degree in Information Technology.

Always active in the community, Debbie served for fourteen years as the Head Cheerleading Advisor for Walkersville High School and the GVAA youth program. Debbie has been a representative in the Frederick News Post, magazines and websites for Mount Saint Mary’s University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2014.

Debbie Bennett is a Community Relationship Manager, VP with First United Bank & Trust in the new Cannery Office. She has extensive experience in financial services with a proven track record in sourcing new retail/commercial loans and deposit opportunities. A successful Relationship Manager known for exceeding sales goals through sales management and new business development. Proven skill in reading and analyzing credit reports, personal financial statements and business loan applications.

Debbie currently serves on the board for Women’s Business Network Group as Programs Director, the Downtown Partnership, BNI Downtown Connectors, and Women’s Holistic Group.

Cheryl prides herself in offering a unique, individualized, consultative approach with each of her clients with a goal of enhancing their self confidence that often fades with age. Through Rodan + Fields, Cheryl has found the ability to create immense change and financial options for her and her family. She has found a new zest for life since beginning her own business and as her success has grown, she has been able to inspire and mentor others to do the same. Prior to discovering the opportunity with Rodan + Fields, she devoted her time to raising her four boys. Cheryl lives in Middletown with her husband, William, and three of her children: Mark, 19, Nico, 15, Chase, 6. Her oldest son, Shawn, 24, proudly serves in the U.S. Navy.

Karen Farrow has been planning events since 2004. Karen comes from a large family and coordinated a number of weddings over the years, as well as several milestone anniversary parties. Karen organized fundraising and other events for a private school, including their annual silent auction/galas and graduation ceremonies. She also planned their ground breaking ceremony when the school moved to a new, state-of-the-art facility in 2008. In March 2012, Karen opened Celebrated Events, a full service event planning company serving Frederick, MD and the surrounding area. Celebrated Events maintains excellent business relationships with area vendors, and is a member of the Frederick Area Bridal Network and the Women’s Business Network of Frederick. Karen lives in Frederick with her husband, Jim, and her two children, Eric, age 24, and Jennifer, age 21.
